Designing The FarmByte Archisen Immersive Experience Gallery
In July 2025, Malaysia marked a significant milestone in sustainable agriculture with the launch of one of the country’s largest indoor vertical farms. The project is a joint venture between digital agri-food company FarmByte, part of the state-owned Johor Corporation(Jcorp), and Singapore-based agritech firm archisen.
Located in Johor Bahru, the new high-tech facility represents a major step toward climate-resilient food production in Southeast asia. spanning approcimately 52,000 square feet, the smart indoor vertical farm uses controlled-environment agriculture (cEA) to grow fresh leafy vegetable year-round, regardless of weather conditions. the facility is projected to produce over 306,000 kilograms of premium greens annually, including crystal lettuce, mustard green and ice plants.
Beyond its agricultural impact, the project also reflects a broader regional ambition: strengthening food resilience and innovation through cross-border collaboration between Malaysia and Singapore.
Bringing Innovation to Life Through an Immersive Experience
As the visual solutions provider for the FarmByte Archisen immersive experience gallery, Audax Visuals had the opportunity to translate this ambitious agritech vision into an engaging, educational visitor journey.
Designed as a guided storytelling environment, the gallery introduces visitors to the future of farming through a combination of immersive media, spatial design, and interactive visuals.
Our scope of work included:
- A fully immersive projection room featuring a four-screen projection mapping environment with custom storytelling content
- 3D-printed visual displays showcasing a range of leafy greens cultivated within the vertical farm ecosystem
- Environment graphics and interpretive visuals designed to guide visitors through the innovation behind controlled-environment agriculture
Together, these elements create a multi-sensory introduction to vertical farming — helping audience understand how technology, data and converge to transform the way food is produced.
